About Sublime Dalmatians

Welcome to Sublime Dalmatians. I'm Karen Fatula of St. Clairsville, Ohio, and I have been raising, training and exhibiting Dalmatians since childhood in the 1970s.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of owning and showing Dalmatians from some of the nation's most respected kennels, including Planett, Dakota, Melody and Korcula, in both American Kennel Club (AKC) and United Kennel Club (UKC) events. I acquired my first true show dog, Mason, from the late Betty Garvin.

I have also been fortunate to learn from outstanding mentors, including Beth White of Melody Kennels in Colorado, Barbara Kaplan Barrett of Planett Dalmatians in New Jersey, and Kris Benoit of Dakota Dalmatians in Illinois.

I have finished multiple AKC champions and am currently campaigning two young females. CH Dakota's Media Darling at Sublime ("Violet") earned Winners Bitch at the Dalmatian Club of America National Specialty in Kingsport, Tennessee, in May 2026, completing her AKC championship with a five-point major. Planett's Higher Frequency at Sublime ("Dahlia") is currently working toward her AKC championship.

My retired champion, GCHB Melody Quicksilver in Quintessence ("Cassie"), is now 13½ years old and enjoying retirement at home in Ohio. Cassie was ranked among the Top 25 Dalmatians in the United States in 2015.

I am a member of the Dalmatian Club of America and the Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatian Club. Occasionally, puppies are available from my CHIC health-tested dogs.
